Sellantra is a freelance marketplace where clients only pay when work is approved, and freelancers only start when payment is secured.

// Executive Summary
Sellantra connects clients who need work done with freelancers who can deliver it. The product brings the major stages of a freelance transaction into one platform, from creating a job and reviewing proposals to hiring, funding escrow, communicating, submitting work, approving delivery, and completing payment. For the MVP, we focused on a simple and controlled model built around fixed-price contracts without milestones.
Clients only pay when work is approved. Freelancers only begin work when their payment is secured.
A reliable way to create and publish jobs, review proposals, compare candidates, communicate, hire, secure payment through escrow, review submitted work, request revisions, and raise a dispute when necessary.
Freelancers can confirm that the required funds have been secured in escrow before starting work, so they are not delivering without a guarantee of payment.
Administrators need visibility into users, jobs, proposals, contracts, payments, escrow, payouts, and disputes, so normal transactions can be automated while exceptions can be handled.
Clients and freelancers enter through a simple, focused experience. The app opens on the core marketplace, and login keeps access controlled for both sides of the transaction.

The client journey begins by providing the information required to establish a clear project: job title, description, required skills, fixed budget, and expected delivery timeline. Freelancers then discover jobs and submit proposals with their price and timeline.

Once the client selects a freelancer, the marketplace moves from discovery into a formal working relationship. For the MVP we deliberately kept the contract structure simple.
Instead of allowing either party to independently control the payment, the platform controls when funds can move. Escrow is connected to one job, one contract, and one payment record. The freelancer is not expected to begin work until the escrow has been funded, and funds are not released simply because the work has been completed.
Payment is not treated as a separate process from the work itself. Once the freelancer submits the final work and the client approves it, the platform handles the release. If there is a disagreement, the transaction moves into the dispute process rather than allowing either party to bypass the platform's controls.
Freelancers build a professional profile through a guided, step-by-step flow that captures the details clients need to make a hiring decision.

Messages stay within the platform and are associated with the relevant job or contract, so conversations remain connected to the work being discussed. The platform also notifies both parties about important transaction events.

Sellantra is not designed to operate without oversight. A React-built admin dashboard serves as the platform's operational control layer, giving administrators visibility into users, jobs, proposals, contracts, payments, escrow, and payouts.
Admins can intervene when necessary: suspending or deactivating users, removing fraudulent or low-quality jobs and profiles, intervening in disputes, and manually releasing or refunding escrow when justified.
The system handles the normal transaction. The admin handles the exceptions.
Trust cannot depend entirely on users behaving correctly. Funding, delivery, approval, and payment release need clear system controls.
For a freelance marketplace, payment cannot be designed independently from work delivery. The two experiences need to work together.
One fixed-price contract with no milestones keeps the transaction easier to understand and reduces unnecessary complexity.
Automation handles the normal flow, but marketplaces also need a clear way to manage disputes, fraud, and exceptional cases.
Connecting a client to a freelancer is only the first step. The real product continues through payment security, delivery, approval, and completion.
Trust should be designed into the transaction, not left to chance.
Sellantra brings the major stages of a freelance transaction into one controlled experience. From job discovery and proposals to hiring, escrow, communication, delivery, approval, payment, and reviews, each stage is connected to the next. By combining escrow-based payments, controlled work submission, in-platform communication, notifications, and administrative oversight, Sellantra creates a structured experience for both clients and freelancers.
